Lifestyle Change - Day4

Today has just been crazy weird. Dunno if I'd call it bad luck or a blessing in disguise.

1st incident: after taking a shower, I slid the sliding 'glass' door and shattered it to pieces.  I got cuts in various areas of my body, but nothing serious.  I ended up putting 4 dandages on the bigger and bleeding cuts only.

2nd incident: discovered that our current place has molds on a sinificant part of our closet and just outide of it.  Had to wash hubby's clothes, which civered the moldy area, which prevented us from seeing the problem sooner.  We wouldn't have known how serious this issue was, if not for the glass door repair man's inspection of the minor moldy area that I pointed out.  The molds may be due to a bigger leak problem between our walls. Tsk tsk

3rd incident: I prepared pears and sliced strawberries for my 2 kids for their usual after supper snack.  I made sure I sliced both fruits in 'easy to bite' sizes.  And placed them in one big bowl for both kids to share.  Just a step from reaching the dining table, where I was to lay down the bowl, the bowl slipped my right hand.  The bowl fell, crashed and shattered into pieces around the dining, living, and, part of, the bedroom.

I just don't know what got into me today.  Hubby says that it's due to our Yoli detox/diet plan. He said that because of our low calorie intake and feeling of weakness that I didn't have a good grip of the bowl.

I am retiring early to avoid any additional incidents for the day. I am hopeful that all these will be balanced off with good karma in the days to come.

Tomorrow is a meal day. That alone can be considered as good karma :)

Good night.

Lifestyle Change- Day3

Good news! Hubby and I survived day 3 of our diet and detox plan. We were depriving ourselves of our usual overeating habits by opting to eat leaner cut meats, low calorie and smaller-portioned food.  Surprisingly, the Yoli supplements: vitamins/digestion booster, alkalete capsules, energy booster drink, and shakes did help.  I didn't feel hungry as much and as often as I thought I would. And the Better Body System BBS program allowed us to eat extra, if needed. We either had nuts, veggies, or fruits.

For me, I have lost 3lbs.

Hubby has not lost any weight or inches yet. But he said that he will see it theough since he's already gone through 3 days of the BBS regimen. He did complain that he felt weak yesterday.  This is a normal reaction since the body is still adjusting.

I must admit that I too somewhat felt different. I had a slight/mild headache on the first night.  But everything is back to normal. Today, being a MEAL day, gave me an energy boost!

I only worked out last Tuesday, which was the day before starting the Yoli BBS plan. I wanted to pace myself. I was afraid that I'd end up fainting while walking on the treadmill. That would've been so embarrassing.

I have prepared our kitchen for the next 5 days of the BBS regimen.

More power to us and everyone else who is in this program. More power to anyone who is out there trying something new or initiating a change to make themselves healthier, happier, and better (i.e. mentally, physically, spiritually).

3 days down, 25 more days to go!

P.S. my blog is not meant to promote any products or services. I am simply re-channelling my energy to writing to vent, share, and explore. I am trying this avenue, which was suggested by a very wise and reputable person whom I met and got to know in the summer of 1995.  This is my therapy to myself to find good amidst the frustrations I am currently experiencing in my life. :) Think happy thoughts Shella!  Besides, this is way cheaper than seeing a shrink ;)

Lifestyle Change

Today marks the day that I am going to change my life for the better.  Eat healthy  and live a balanced life.

2 things that starts off this life changing event is my enrollment at the Apple Fitness Center and the arrival of my Yoli Better Body System Kit in the mail.

Wish me luck.
